Mary was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was born in Lamont, Alberta, and raised in Willingdon. Her nurse’s training took place at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton. After seven happy years spent in Port Alberni, she moved to Vancouver. Pre-deceased by husband Arnie, son Ross, brothers Alex, John and sister Jean; and survived by son Alan (Ruth), daughter-in-law Wendi, 6 grandchildren, Brooke and Dawn; Glenn, Todd and Chelsea; Jay; 9 great grandchildren and one to come, her sisters Ann Evenson and Alice Middagh, nieces and nephews and a wonderful circle of friends. Mary was especially close to her Vancouver great grandchildren Sarah and Tyler. She loved her golf and bridge at Point Grey, was a talented artist, a fabulous entertainer and elegant hostess. A memorial service will be held for Mary at 2:00 pm, on February 29, at Canadian Memorial, 1825 W 16th Ave., Vancouver. We wish to thank the staff at Crofton Manor for their care and compassion.
