It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our caring and loving Mom, Marisa Marchioni (nee Corsi). Marisa passed away with her family by her side and comforted in the knowledge that she is now free of the bondage that is dementia.
Beloved Wife, Mother, Nonna and Grand Nonna is survived by her loving husband Francesco of 66 years, her children John (Rhonda predeceased), Pina (Fernando), Sandy (Maria), her grandchildren Claudia (Danny), Tyler (Katie), Joe (Felicia), Deanna (Jordan), Nick, Mike, Francesco (Samantha), Alexandra (Chad) and 4 great-grandchildren Matteo, Zoey, Owen and Abigail.
Marisa was born in Supino, Italy the second of four children, immigrated to Vancouver Canada in 1956, and is also survived by two brothers Antonio and Angelo, sister Lucia (predeceased) and many nephews, nieces and friends from far and near.
Visitation to be from 6pm - 8pm on Monday April 17th, 2023 at Kearney Funeral Service 219 6th Street, New Westminster.
Marisa’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 at Precious Blood Church located at 17475 59th Avenue, Surrey.
Entombment to follow the Mass at 12:30pm at the Gardens of Gethsemani located at 15694 32nd Avenue, Surrey.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society of British Columbia would be appreciated.
