Marilyn Driscoll passed away suddenly in her apartment on August 13, 2023. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Beverley Maloney (Joe), Sister Joan Driscoll, Patricia Calvert (Rodger), and sister-in-law, Linda Driscoll. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Bridget Driscoll (McMurray), brother John Driscoll, and her twin Sister Mary Driscoll. She will also be missed by many friends and other family members.
Marilyn was born September 7th, 1941, in Peterborough. She became a registered practical nurse, and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Peterborough, in Athens, Georgia, in Tuscan, Arizona and finally at Shaughnessy Hospital in Vancouver where she nursed for about 35 years before she retired. Marilyn was always a kind and generous person and was particularly attentive to the needs of the poor, both locally and abroad. She was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church and continued after her retirement to be a caregiver to the sick and elderly.
The funeral mass for Marilyn will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hungary Church on Thursday, August 31 at 11a.m by Father Dennis Lakatos, followed by burial at 1:30 pm in Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery.
