On August the 18th at 23:45 Maria Olthoff received her “Wings to Heaven”  She left us peacefully, with her family at her bedside at Surrey Memorial Hospital
We wish to say thank you to all the Nurses and Doctors at Surrey Hospital for all their kind care in her final hours, and we wish to say thank you to all the staff at her final place of residence “ Fleetwood Care life”, for the kindness and gentle care that was extended to our mother and grandmother.

Maria, was a kind hearted warm woman, with a smile that could light up a room. She was born in Germany, married and came to Canada in 1951 to begin a new life.

She had 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much. Her passion was helping people and making others happy. Before retiring she worked many years as a Health care Worker at Woodland’s School, which she often said, was the best job she ever had. She loved working with the kids and every day was a new adventure in care giving with handicapped children.

She will be sadly missed by all of us.

She leaves behind her children:
Renate, Marlene and Peter,

Her Grandchildren:
Christopher, (Seanna), Marianne, Angela, (Simon), Michael, Jonathan, and Jessica

Her Great Grandchildren:
Sage , Carleigh, Logan, Grace, Aiden ,Keeley, Keira, Riley ,Hannah, Hailey, and  Dayton

We invite all those who wish to attend to Maria’s Prayer Service and Funeral
