Mary passed away peacefully on June 7th at Columbus Residence where she had lived happily for 23 years. She rounded out her 84 years at her home away from home with grace, humour, and a love for bingo. She was born in Powell River, but spent much of her life in Vancouver with her family. She is survived by her sister Bia MacKay (Violet MacKay), nieces, Mairi, Heather, and Fiona, and her great niece, Jenny, and her large extended family of staff, volunteers and residents of Columbus.

A Funeral Mass led by Father John Eason will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua church on June 12, 2013 at 10:30 am. She will then be laid to rest with her parents, Giuseppe and Pacifica at Ocean View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arts & Crafts Fund at Columbus Residence would be appreciated.
