• It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Glynn, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Margaret is survived by her husband, Arthur Leo Glynn, daughters Susan Marino (Ralph), Sandy Dykstra (Mark), grandsons David, Kevin, and Jeffrey, along with her sisters Irene Lapointe, Anita Boyles, and her brother Reuben Dirk. Margaret lived her life with love, generosity of spirit, and compassion for family and friends. Born in Prelate, Saskatchewan, Margaret spent most of her life in Vancouver. She rarely missed an opportunity to help others. Margaret has been active in her community, including St Mary’s Parish, organizing mall sales, making flower arrangements for the Church with her “Flower Ladies.” For years, with the support of Kirby’s Flowers, she brought flowers to senior’s residences--a job she reluctantly relinquished last year, at the age of 89. She loved belly-dancing with her two daughters at Bonsor Community Centre. Margaret made our world a little brighter. Funeral Services were held November 20, 2018, 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Parish, 5251 Joyce Street, Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Make a Wish Foundation, Canada may be made in Margaret’s memory. .
