Margaret Beatrice Corbett

Margaret Corbett was born in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan, the second of three children and the apple of her parents’ eye. She grew up on a prairie farm and dealt with planting, harvesting and nasty prairie winters. She would regale people with stories of encounters with bears and having to have a rifle close by. At times the rifle was necessary to put food on the table and Margaret was prepared. She had an infectious sense of humour and loved to kid. Her greatest love was family. She dealt with being a single mom, raising three kids and running her own business. She saw to it that her children received the best education possible and were given a foundation of love and support. She leaves behind her 2 sons and a daughter: Robert, David and Cathy; their respective wives and partner, Angie Linda, and Mark; and beloved grandchildren Leah, Isaac, Morgan, Harrison, and a great grandchild, Blake. Margaret loved to sing and had a preference for country music. She was a bright, creative woman who solved problems in imaginative ways. She appreciated nature and animals. She overcame illness at the age of 65 and having overcome that got to spend an additional 25 years with her family. She raised three strong, independent children. She loved playing games to pass the time with family and friends and was always a fun-loving competitor. Her illness at an early age restricted her ability to do all that she wanted to do. She loved to travel, and take cruises, which she did with family and friends, and they were enjoyable times for her. Margaret was committed to the Catholic church and had a firm faith. She was predeceased by her brother Albert and leaves her brother Lloyd and other family behind. To those left behind she is our hero.
