Mae was a kind, generous person who loved a celebration. She gave fantastic hugs and her smile could light up the room. Her eyes twinkled when she was happy. Mae looked for happiness every day. She was determined to live a happy life and create family where ever she was. She was gifted in math, art, English and sports and trained at Teachers College, Saskatoon, to work with children.

She loved animals and with her beloved palomino horse, Ripple, she rode with the Townline Riders. As an athlete Mae won numerous metals in Seniors Games Track and Field and competed into her 80’s. She still holds some Canadian records in track and field.

Mae faced many hardships in life. She suffered from illness and pain. She was determined to live her own life as a true original. She was a faithful friend, a care giver to others, a loving Mom, Gramma and Great Gramma.

In Loving Memory of
Mae Henrietta Theresa Turek.
