Lynn Armstrong died peacefully at her home in Vancouver, with her husband Sandy and sister Ann by her side, on June 13, 2023.  Born in Toronto, Lynn was predeceased by her parents Barry and Jane (nee Sturgeon) Armstrong.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Alexander “Sandy” Macdonald, her brother Michael (Jessica Sheehan), sister Ann (Jay Duffield), nieces and nephews Jack and Bryn Armstrong and Jamie, Roz and Harry Duffield, and many special Armstrong and Sturgeon aunts, uncles, and cousins including Jocelyn Armstrong and Rob Ecclestone, and her oldest friend Debbie (Cawthorne) Ciarroni.

Lynn obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Phys. Ed from Western University.    Summers of her youth were spent at Camp Kitchikewana, where she made lifelong friends on the shores of Beausoleil Island.

Lynn was an accomplished and committed athlete throughout her life, playing on and excelling in numerous sports teams in high school, teaching fitness classes in University, running several marathons (including Boston), long distance cycling, participating in countless Grouse Grinds.  She was at her absolute happiest when she was active and outside enjoying everything the West coast had to offer.

Lynn had a successful career in sales with Moore Business Forms before moving into the Executive Search field for twenty years until her first cancer diagnosis six years ago.  She served on the boards of the BCSPCA and Covenant House Vancouver for many years.

Lynn loved warm weather, travelling, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, a good croissant, afternoon tea and a good book.  She loved her dogs Toucho (current) and Kayleigh (past), all of her special dog-park friends, and of course, her loving husband Sandy.

A celebration of life is planned in the near future, details to follow.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Lynn’s memory to the BCSPCA, MexPup, or the VGH Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplant Program https://bccancerfoundation.com/donations/general-donation-form/?s_src=BCCRCFooter
