It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Diane Raynard.  Lynda passed away peacefully at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster on January 19, 2024.

Lynda will be deeply missed by her daughter, Katrina Drost, grandsons, Josh (Hillary), Ben, Logan, and Trenton (Kristen); sister-in-law, Leona, her Aunt Jo; cousins on the East Coast and her fur babies, Finn, and Cedric.  Lynda was predeceased by her parents, Corning and Agnes and her beloved brother, Roger.

Lynda moved to Vancouver from Nova Scotia in the early 1970s and developed a family of many friends who appreciated her warmth and friendship over the years.  Even though Lynda moved away from the Maritimes she was always a very proud Nova Scotian and visited frequently.

Lynda loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to interesting countries.  She loved to play golf and bridge and played both avidly.  All her activities she shared with close friends and made wonderful memories that made her exceedingly happy.

Over the years, Lynda was a very committed and ardent supporter of women's rights; she had a deep love for cats; she was an animal rights activist and a valued supporter of the BCSPCA.  She had a very fulfilling career at Prestons Interior Ltd. until her retirement at the age of 65.  Everything Lynda took on; she took on wholeheartedly.

At Lynda's request there will be no visitation or funeral.

Donations to the BCSPCA would be appreciated in honour of Lynda's life.
