Luella is lovingly remembered by daughters Sheila Alexandra and Audrey Roberts and sons Don Roberts and Len (Fran) Roberts and grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Luella was born to proud parents Gertrude and Thomas Thompson and raised on the family farm at Fielding, SK. She had two brothers (Alfred and Otto) and three sisters ( Irene, Gladys and Olive). At a young age she taught herself to play the piano and in the following years joined Alf in a band which played at dances throughout the area. And yes, the family heard how some winter nights they had to use horses and sleigh to get to town. Luella continued to play keyboard well into her later years. Luella married Bill Roberts and they raised six children. Bill served in the Second World War after which he was stationed in Saskatoon. As a result, the family moved from Fielding to Saskatoon in 1946.  Following Bill's retirement in 1969 Bill and Luella moved to Calgary, AB and later to Cloverdale, BC.

Luella was always a loving caregiver to family and friends and her kindness and thoughtfulness will remain with us. Luella cherished her family and was always there to guide them along life's way. Predeceased by Bill (2002) and daughters Sylvia (2003) and Marlene (2013) and son-in-law Ernest Alexander (2002). At the time of her passing she was a resident of Suncreek Nursing Home in Surrey, BC
