Surrey – Luba Anne Kazakoff passed away peacefully, in her sleep at Surrey Memorial Hospital on November 1st, 2023 after a short illness, with family and friends in attendance.
Luba was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Pauline Kazakoff of Vancouver, BC as well as her dear friend Celia, also of Vancouver, BC. Her cherished dogs Dahlia and Daisy both crossed the Rainbow Bridge before their beloved mistress as well, obediently waiting for their reunification.
Luba is lovingly survived by her sister Irene Kazakoff, of Vernon; her nephew Aaron and great-nephew Steven, of Vernon; nephew Matt (Karen) of New Westminster; dear friends Joni of Vancouver; Laura of Vancouver; and Robyn of Tsawwassen.
Following cremation, Luba will have her ashes spread in Grand Forks, BC, where her grandparents (Kazakoff) are laid to rest, and where the ashes of her father were returned. This will be a small, private, family ceremony, in keeping with both her wishes and family tradition.
We greatly appreciate those wishing to mourn with us and celebrate our dear Luba. We would ask that in lieu of flowers, those who wish to celebrate her life or make a donation in her name to the SPCA, or any appropriate local animal rescue organization or charity.
