Loretta Hee

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta Hee, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband, Gary, her children, Cheryl (Tom) and Gavin, and her grandchildren, Maxxwell and Madilyn. She will also be dearly missed by her siblings and many extended family members.

Born in Suva, Fiji on Wednesday, July 10, 1946, Loretta was known for her unwavering sense of sacrifice providing for her family. Her every moment was dedicated to helping the well-being of those around her. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed nothing more than to see them smile. In her earlier professional days, she worked as a comptometrist in Suva. Later on, in Canada, she held an administrative position with Canaccord Capital before transitioning to food services where for several years she was a valued member of the bakery department at the Bay in Downtown Vancouver. It was with the Bay that she eventually retired.

We will forever cherish what Loretta gave up for all of us so that we could have a better life. A memorial service will be held for family members to pay their respects at Gardens of Gethsemani cemetery (15694 32 Ave, Surrey, BC V3Z 9V1) on Saturday, April 26 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family will distribute any donations, in her memory, amongst the various centres that provided her and her family care.
