It is with profound sadness that the Ceraldi and Smith families announce the passing of Loretta Carmela Ceraldi on July 11, 2022. Known for her beautiful smile, engaging personality, caring heart, and generous spirit, Loretta lived her life with abounding grace and a deep abiding faith.
Born in Vancouver, BC, Loretta worked for the North Vancouver School Board for most of her career, as a teacher, president of the NVTA, and administrator. As well, she worked as a faculty associate for the education program at SFU.
Loretta shared her passions for, and interest in, tennis, competitive figure skating, travelling, good wine, and delicious food with her many friends and her large extended family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Guiseppe and Carmela Ceraldi; sisters Maria (Monty) and Theresa; sister-in-law Patricia; and brothers Donato and Rocco.
Loretta was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her brother Anthony Ceraldi, sister-in-law Gloria Ceraldi, nephews and nieces: Bob (Marge), Frances (Alan), Joseph (Vicki), Carmel, Donna (Olly), Paul (Susan), Theresa, Christina, Anna (Peter), Joseph (Monica), Johnathan, James (Karen) Cathy, Mark (Carleen), Danny, Christopher (Tasha), as well as many great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends. She will forever remain in our hearts.
Prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 7:30 pm with a Funeral Mass celebrated on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 11:00 am at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 599 Keith Road, West Vancouver, BC V7T 1L8. Reception to follow.
