Lorenzo Mark Iameo, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, teacher and friend to so many; passed away on April 14, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by the love of his life, Sandra and his sons, Spencer and Mitchell. He is survived by his parents, Rosa and Salvatore, sister Mary (Victor) and brother Vince (Shazia) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and dear friends.

Lorenzo was a kind, loving and generous soul, who touched the lives of so many that had the opportunity to meet him. His endless energy and desire to help and inspire others are some of his many traits that will be truly missed.

Lorenzo was born on January 15, 1970 in Vancouver, BC and grew up in East Vancouver, attending Franklin Elementary, Templeton Secondary and UBC. He touched many lives at Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School where he worked as a teacher for over 20 years. Lorenzo always showed tremendous dedication, generosity, laughter, community and heart through his work by running the Tupper mini school program, DJ club, grade 8 camps, and grad council.

His students trusted Lorenzo (Mr. I) as a mentor, learning from him to be curious, to be skeptical, to always maintain a sense of wonder with the world before them, to think deeply and critically, to be inspired by their dreams, to live a life of service and sacrifice, to be selflessly caring of others and to be passionate.

Lorenzo had many interests: soccer, travel, boating and spending quality time with his family and friends. He had a passion for cooking and mastered the art of making pizza. Every time the dough would rise, a round of calls would be made to friends and family inviting them to come over and grab a slice. He was an immensely loving and supportive father whose kindness, charisma and tenacity will be remembered by his family and all those who knew him.

As a friend, Lorenzo will be forever remembered for his devotion, gratitude and his selfless way of always putting every task to the greater good. Whether it be giving unconditional time to support others or his willingness to always step in to help, Lorenzo always had time for everyone around him.
