Lloyd Pryce Rogers.
After a lengthy illness, Lloyd passed away on March 26, 2008 at the Vancouver General Hospital. He was in his 85th year. Lloyd was predeceased by three of his four brothers and his two sisters, his son Lawrence (1984), and his loving wife Mary (2000).

Dad will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jim (Penny), Maureen (Tom),
Paul (Colene), John (Carmie), Steve (Cathy), Gwen, Joe (Rose), Bill (Margaret), Ed, Yvette (Ted), Vida (Les), Doug (Karen), Ron (Marie), along with his 29 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered by the thousands of lives he touched while working as a teacher and administrator for the Vancouver School Board from 1948-1982. He was the Principal at: Simon Fraser Elementary (1966-'68), Lord Selkirk Elementary (1968-'74), Shaughnessy Elementary (1974-'80) and Kerrisdale Elementary (1980-until his retirement in 1982).

Dad had a very deep Catholic faith, and the focus of his life was his beloved wife, Mary, and his family. Dad could be seen and heard at many a sporting event supporting his children and grandchildren. He certainly loved to watch his Montreal Expos baseball team on a regular basis.

Following his "official" retirement in 1982, dad gave of his time as principal at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Elementary. As well, he taught as a
volunteer at each of Vancouver College, Saint Thomas More, Little Flower
Academy, Saint Patrick's (Vancouver), and Saint Anne's Academy (Kamloops).
He also served on the Board of Directors for Providence Health Care and
Catholic Charities.

Husband, father, grandpa, great grandpa and friend.we love you, we miss you,
and we will always have you in our hearts.

A special thank you to all the medical staff who cared for dad during his
illness.

Prayers will be held Monday, March 31, at 7pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Catholic Church at 2465 Crown St., Vancouver (10th Avenue & Crown Street).
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 1, at 11am at Our Lady
of Perpetual Help Church. Father Paul Curtin, Father Douglas Pankhurst and Msgr. Mark Hagemoen will concelebrate the Mass.  Private family interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Lloyd & Mary Rogers Family
