Leo, age 92, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Berkley Care Center. Born in Lafleche, Sask, raised in Vernon, he moved to North Van in his late teens and lived there until his passing. Survived by 5 of his children; Maureen (John), Glenn (Tracey), Brenda (Mike), Shane (Melissa), Sharon (Geoff) and daughter in-law (Sue), his 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his fiancé Veronica. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret and his eldest son Bruce.
He ran an accounting business on the North Shore for over 30 years. He was also very involved in the community and was President of the Chamber of Commerce, St. Stephen’s Men’s club (when they built the parish in 1963) and the Lions Loafers trailer club. He was a VP at the NSWC, treasurer of Cap College Foundation, participated in CGA committees, and was a Kinsmen, a K-40, and a Lions Club member. He volunteered at Margaret Fulton Center, refereed hockey, umpired baseball and still spent lots of time with his 6 kids and extended family.
Leo loved to laugh and tell jokes. He loved spending time at the Shuswap lake surrounded by family. He had a very sweet tooth and especially liked pumpkin pie.
