Leanne Mary Williams May 15, 1971 - July 29, 2013 On a lovely sunny afternoon our beautiful daughter was taken from us far too soon as a result of a tragic accident involving a bicycle and an automobile. Leanne attended Prince of Wales Secondary High School and Vancouver Comm-unity College where she obtained a Secretary Certificate Program, a Dental Receptionist Program and a Dental Assisting Program. Leanne was an excellent Certified Dental Assistant for 10 years prior to taking a few years off to deal with health issues. She was recently feeling much better and was looking forward to returning to the profession. At a young age Leanne visited many parts of the world with her parents, then later with friends. Her favorite place in the world was Italy and was longing to return. Leanne was a real beauty who broke many hearts along the way, but never settled on one true love. Her hearty & contagious laughter, amazing sense of humour, flair for fashion and love of animals was known to all who knew her. She leaves behind her mother and best friend Mary Kowal, step-father Dan Kowal, father David Williams (Georgiana), dearest close friend and companion Phil Malenica, her grandparents Renzo & Rosina Faoro, Hilda Kowal, aunts & uncles, Alida Mackenzie, Nydia & Raymond Faoro, and Vicki Hooper, cousins Jennifer, Alanna & Natalie, Stephanie and Christine, as well as many friends and relatives here and in Italy and her beloved Chihuahua Sabrina. Her final days were laughingly spent with cousins where they fed birds at the Sanctuary and walked on the Capilano Suspension Bridge. She recently cut her long locks and sported the shortest little pixie cut which everyone loved. And yes, SHE WAS SO LOVED, more than she ever knew. She will be sadly and deeply missed. A church service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church, 2028 W. 7th Ave. A reception will follow in celebration of Leanne's life at the Jericho Tennis Club, 3837 Point Grey Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA or the Vancouver Mental Health Association.
