Born in Lakeview Oregon Lawella was a gentle spirit forever enraptured by and at peace with nature.  An ardent lover of the outdoors, Lawella owned a cabin on Hollyburn Mountain in her early years and was an avid enthusiast of cross country skiing.  Lawella began her career in earnest at the Alan Cashmore Centre as an early childhood education therapeutic counsellor.  It was a vocation that was totally fulfilling and one that she truly loved.  She affected a positive influence and provided guidance to countless children and their parents.  At the outset of that career Lawella would travel to Saturna Island on weekends to pursue her interest in photography.  She would later become a weaver.  After settling in the city Lawella purchased a cabin in Point Roberts which became both a retreat and a sanctuary where she would spend countless hours relaxing by gardening and communicating with nature.  It was a genuine idyllic experience.  Lawella was loved by all and will be greatly missed.  She will be forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Legion Branch 142 - 3678 W. Broadway at 2:00 PM on Sun Sept 16
