Billy Lau

Billy Lau passed away after a long battle from complications due to Alzheimer’s in the early morning of Oct 16 in his sleep at the age of 81.
Billy came to Vancouver in 1972 from Hong Kong where he served in the military and worked as a taxi driver. During his time in Vancouver, he served the students and parishioners of the Saint Francis Xavier Parish community.
The avid mah-jong player and lover of soccer is survived by his wife, Helen and his son, Joe, as well as his daughter-in-law, Susana and grandson, Nicholas- who always brought a light to his eyes.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to either of the two groups that served Billy well during his final days:
