Dorothy "Lai Mun"Chung ( nee Chiu), a beloved mother, grandmother, and pillar in her community, peacefully departed from this world on July 25, 2023, in Vancouver, British Columbia. She will forever be cherished and lovingly remembered by her children, Cesar, Apollo, Victoria, and Athena, and her two adoring grandsons, Ashton and Jacob.

Dorothy was a woman whose warmth and kindness endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She faced life's challenges with unwavering resilience and grace, touching the lives of her family and her community with her genuine compassion.

A dedicated volunteer teacher at St. Francis Xavier and an active member of the Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church, Dorothy's passion for education and nurturing young minds knew no bounds. She had a special place in her heart for children and took great joy in passing on her wisdom to the next generation.

Her infectious laughter and boundless energy filled every room she entered, making every gathering a memorable event. Dorothy's love for people was matched only by her loyalty and dedication to those she held dear, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.

Though she has left us physically, Dorothy's memory will forever be etched in our hearts. The legacy of her kindness and love will continue to inspire us all.

Prayers will be offered on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 6:30 pm at the Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (5771 Granville Ave, Richmond, BC), where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 11, at 11:30 am, with Fr. Chu presiding.
