Ken passed away suddenly on December 18, 2016 at his home in Vancouver surrounded by his friends at the age of 81. He is survived by his children, Kirstin and Kenan; wife and friend, Helen; and his five grandchildren, Romany, Kyle, Robin, Katie and Molly.

Ken lived a well-rounded life that began in Red Lodge Park, Alberta. He was the youngest of five and had an eventful childhood. He was a natural athlete and played football for the Calgary Bronx, boxed, played golf, tennis and took up Marathon running and competing in Triathlons later in life. He was an avid cyclist around Vancouver.

Ken loved music and especially loved to play his guitar and sing. He was community minded and enjoyed hosting social events like Choir and Yoga at his home. He was always looking for ways to include people in his life.

He was a graduate of the University Alberta and went on to get his MBA from the school of Ivey at the University of Western Ontario. He became a stockbroker and although he was successful in business, he never lost touch with his humble beginnings and always enjoyed the simple things in life, nature and his fellow man.
