It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ken, our dear son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend. He passed away after a short battle with cancer leaving us heartbroken. After surviving a life-changing car accident 12 years ago, Ken was left with a severe brain injury but continued to make unexpected progress. His favorite activities included walking long distances with his caregivers, going for drives with Dad, participating in community programs, and enjoying family dinners every Sunday. Ken was a fighter to the end. We will miss him always and love him forever.

Ken is survived by his dad, Kim, mom, Shannon, aunt, Margot, sisters, Carolyn (Hal), Michelle (Jason), and Janine, nieces, Emily and Alyssa, and nephews, Max and Zach.

Our family is very grateful to Ken’s wonderful caregivers Lorna, Aaron, Restie, Lovreet, and Andriy; as well as past caregivers Cherry, Cindy, Betty, and Luiz. A special thank you to his longtime nurse, Zahra.

A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (3811 Point Grey Rd) on Saturday, February 29 between 2 and 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Ken’s memory to the BC Cancer Foundation or the British Columbia Brain Injury Association.
