Kathleen Morgan

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Kathleen (nee Gallagher). Born in Liverpool, England, Kathleen immigrated to Canada in 1956 when she was 17 years old with her mom, brother, and sister to join her dad and brothers. Shortly after, she met and married Pat Herbert in 1960. Kathleen and Pat adopted and raised 3 children in Burnaby, BC. After Pat's death in 1995, Kathleen found love again with Chris Morgan. They married in 1998 and enjoyed 25 years together, feeling blessed to share their later lives together. Kathleen is predeceased by her parents James and Bridget Gallagher, brothers Danny, Peter, Jim, Bernard, John, sisters Sheila, Patricia, husband Pat Herbert, husband Chris Morgan and brother-in-law Jerry Thiele. Kathleen worked for many years with Burnaby Public Library and enjoyed traveling, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Kathleen is survived by children Michael (Sherry), Patrick (Kelly), Colleen (former spouse Paul), stepdaughter Erin Morgan, sister Maureen Thiele, grandsons Colby (Amy), Zach, Daylen, Jake, and Finley, many sisters in law, nieces and nephews. Please join us at a Catholic Mass to celebrate Kathleen's life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11am, St. Luke's Parish 20285 Dewdney Trunk Rd, Maple Ridge, BC. Reception to follow immediately after the mass. Kathleen will be interred at Gardens of Gethsemani, Surrey, BC. The family wishes to thank the staff at Maple Ridge Seniors Village for their exceptional care of Kathleen in her final year.
