As a young woman, Karoline left the mountains of her native Austria in 1954, crossed Europe, the Atlantic Ocean and half of Canada to re-unite with her love, to marry and bear her only child in this new country in Winnipeg.  After a short two years, the family of three headed west to rumours of mountains and ended up calling Vancouver home.   While tending to her family and helping with the family electrical business, she was an absolute maven of hospitality and was renowned for her baking, cooking and gardening skills.   She was proud to welcome all guests to her humble home and regale them with her hospitality.

Karoline leaves behind her son Ernie (Ernst Jr.), her two grandchildren, Hannah and Stefan and her two great grandchildren, Max and Mia.  Mom/Oma will be sadly missed by all that loved her.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Columbus Residence where Karoline spent her last year. Rest in Peace.
