It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, one of eight children. She is pre-deceased by her parents Victoria and Robert and siblings Henry, Grace, Elinor, Evelyn, Robert, Bernard and Pauline.
As a young woman in Montreal, Mom worked in an office and also modelled. After marrying, Mom and Dad (June and Peter) lived in both Montreal and Sherbrooke, where their son Patrick was born. Years later they moved to Vancouver, where their daughter Melanie was born.
June was a devoted wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother and great-grandmother, so giving in every way. Her family was always first and foremost. June has enjoyed a full life married to Peter for almost 72 years and has enjoyed the many blessings of great friends through church, business and other associations.
As they were active parishioners of Immaculate Conception Parish since moving to Vancouver, June was also a CWL member. She and Peter enjoyed a vibrant social life with dining out, parties, dancing, business events and much more. June took many trips over the years with her family and husband to Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, US States and cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. Mom participated in a myriad of activities and hobbies such as oil painting, community volunteering and as a movie extra!
She will be dearly missed by her husband Peter, daughter Melanie, son Patrick, Grand-Daughters Melissa, Alanna and Shawn and Great-Grandchildren Kacey, Kadence, Faith, Landon and Wyatt.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 16th at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Parish, 3778 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver with a reception to follow in the church hall.
We thank Dr. Alex Musial and all of the staff at Blenheim Lodge who cared for Mom. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
