With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Julian Twarog on July 30, 2013.
Predeceased by his loving wife Wladyslawa of 45 years in year 2000, Julian is survived by his children Ava (Rick) and George (Susan) and grandchildren Charlotte, Kristin, Madison and Daniel.
Also by brothers Walter (Vancouver), Stefan, Wojtek and Marion and sister Zofia, (Poland) and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
We would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and caregivers who have helped our father along the journey of his illness and especially the staff at Parkview 4th floor at Youville Residence, Vancouver. Their support and kindness gave Julian great relief in his last days.
Julian always had a quick smile and a helping hand. He was a tireless worker in the Polish Community helping to establish Kopernick Lodge in Vancouver, receiving the Golden Jubilee Medal in 2001 for his work in support of the Polish community in Canada. He was member of the Knights of Columbus and the choir at Saint Casimers Church in Vancouver.
A funeral mass with prayers will be held on Friday August 9th at 10:30am at St. Casimers Parish 1187 East 27th Avenue Vancouver with entombment to follow at 2:30pm in Abbey Mausoleum at Ocean View Burial Park 4000 Imperial Street Burnaby.
