It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of our mother Judith Allison Bain Dampier.   She will be remembered with love by many friends and family, including: daughters Paige Dampier (Chris Bodnar), Kimberly Krebs (Darren Krebs), Lesley Dampier (Malcolm McDonald); grandchildren Clara, Roxie, and Julia Bodnar, and Emily and Angus McDonald; and, sister Meredith Woodward (Ron Woodward), and 13 nieces and nephews.   She was an amazing calligrapher and artist; she loved to cook and bake for others; and her intelligence and compassion shone through every conversation and debate.  She was strong, and fiercely independent and has left an incredible legacy for her children and grandchildren.   She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Myrtle Bain and her soulmate and husband Lawrence Paul Dampier.  We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either of Judi’s charities of choice: Doctors Without Borders (MSF) or Pivot Legal Society.  These are organizations that Judi contributed to for many years and are near to her heart.  A memorial celebration will be held Sunday, September 2nd at Sunrise Hall, 1950 Windermere Street, Vancouver, from 1-4 pm with program (and a craft station for kids and adults alike) starting at 1:30 pm. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kearneyfs.com
