After a short illness, Joyce died at St. Michael’s Hospice on February 26th at the age of 90. The third oldest of six children, Joyce grew up in Coquitlam, later attended business school, owned and operated two successful businesses in Vernon. In the 1960’s, she moved back to New Westminster where she worked for the provincial government, notably for Film Classification and the BC Parole Board before retiring in June 1993. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Lilly, brother Bill and sister Margaret. She is survived by her sisters Vera and Patricia, brother Les (Audrey), along with several nieces and nephews and their families. The family would like to thank Dr.’s John Albrecht and John Yap for their care of Joyce. No funeral by request.
