Joyce was born in Bromley, Kent, England. She passed peacefully at home with her family at her side.

She is predeceased by her husband, Jim Kerr.
She is survived by her children, Melanie (Kerr)Ross, Michael, and Erroll Kerr; son-in-law, John Ross; daughters-in-law, Heather Kerr and Lisa Kerr; grandchildren,  Jessica, Amelia, Ryan, Katherine, Benjamin, and Samantha; her brother, George (Culling);  sisters, Babs (Culling) Pierce and Doris Culling; as well as all her nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Joyce came to Canada in 1960, and landed in Toronto with her friend, Avice, where they worked at a bank. They then proceeded to head west where she met her husband in Vancouver, B.C. They loved ballroom dancing and looked beautiful on the dance floor together. They spent time going on vacations in between working on their various houses. Buying a cabin on Gambier Island was her pride and joy, and Joyce loved being up there, especially when her family could be there with her. Joyce was involved in many charity endeavours: Rotary (where she was President, Secretary, and Treasurer- at least once in each position), her Book club, and Bridge Club. She received many awards for all her years of hard work in her charities. The layettes that she organized and made each year with the Rotary were well received. She organized the fashion show each year. After her husband passed away, she became a member of the West Vancouver United church, where she attended each Sunday, and helped with all the teas, lunches and bazaars that they had.

We will miss you and will be thinking of you always with lots of love.

A special thank you to all her friends, family, and nurses who helped makes her last days comfortable and fun.
