It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Joe Williams. Dad passed away suddenly but peacefully with his family at his side at Lions Gate Hospital at the age of 78.

Dad was pre-deceased by his parents Mike and Pearl Williams, brother Ron and wife Marilyn. Joe is survived by their children Debbi (Glen), Sharon, Paul (Louise) and Laurie (Jim), his sister Joan Bettles and loving wife Joan Watchorn and her family. Dad will also be missed by his eight grandchildren; Meghan, Katie, Jordan, Macki, Joshua, Noah, Taylor, Chase and one great grandchild Zion. He will also be greatly missed by many in the Williams and Medd clan back East as well as his stepfamily in the interior of BC.

Papa Joe cherished being a husband, father and grandfather and took great pride in these roles. He will be remembered for the way he looked after and cared for his family and friends, his sense of humour, his guitar playing and his dedication to his community.

Born in Seaforth, Ontario into a farming family, Joe entered into what became a 38 year career as a business leader and mentor with the TD Bank making lifetime friends all across Canada. Dad loved all sports, from an early career in junior hockey to finding his true passion and brotherhood at Capilano Golf & Country Club.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Joe’s name to Mission Possible at www.mission-possible.ca/how-to-help/donate to continue Joe’s generosity to those less fortunate.
