Joe passed away peacefully with family at his side on May 19, 2017.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn (née Graham); his daughter, Johanna; his son-in-law, Shaun; and his grandson, Graeme. Born in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, Joe is also survived by his sisters, Gloria, Virginia and Valerie.

At 17 Joe began travelling the world first as a merchant mariner, then later as a Foreign Service Officer with the RCMP. Joe spent 35 years in the RCMP and later CSIS, retiring as the Deputy Director General in 1990. In retirement Joe continued to serve through his involvement in the Delta Hospice Society and the Delta Potters Association.
