Webb-Joseph Arthur passed away peacefully Thursday Sept 27th 2012 aged 88 years. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sheila; five children, Kathleen (Glen) Cadenhead, Margaret (Gordon) Webb, Paul (Barbara), Barbara (David) Gingrich, and Maureen (Scott) Pelton, and 15 Grandchildren. Also brother Norman and sisters Winnie Doyle and Theresa Bijold and many nieces nephews and dear friends. Joe was a lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served overseas as a pilot during World War II. He graduated from UBC as a chemical engineer in 1950 and, after a brief career teaching at Cecil Rhodes and Vancouver Technical School, he joined Shell Canada where he worked for 30 years. Joe gave generously of his time and his considerable talents to his family and community. He was renowned for his gardening, building and baking skills. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight of Council 8853. Prayers will be held Sunday October 7th at 8:30 pm in St Francis de Sales Church, 6610 Balmoral St. Burnaby, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday October 8th at 1pm. Fr.
