It is with great relief that we announce the passing of Josef Kamensek.  He fought a valiant, yet short battle with cancer.  Joe was born in Slovenia and came to Canada in 1950 with his twin brother Tony to start a new life.  It was here that he married his bride of 60 years, Elisabeth, who he leaves behind.  He is also survived by his daughter, Erika(Gerard), his sons Richard(Charlene) and Otto, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and siblings both in Canada and Europe.  Joe was a proud member of Local UA 170 for over 50 years.  Joe will be missed by all who knew him.  Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 10th at 2:00 pm at Columbia-Bowell Chapel, 219 6th Street, New Westminster.
