John Victor Malboeuf, 75, of White Rock, BC passed away on Saturday, January 30th after a valiant fight with a long illness.

John was born on September 21st 1945 to Kathleen Butler in Botwood, Newfoundland.

After graduating from Botwood Collegiate in 1963, he eventually made the move to Toronto, ON where he met Lucy (Downey).  The two would then wed on July 19th 1969 and have 4 daughters, Michelle, Jennifer, Nadia, and Jodi.

In 1981 the pair moved to Kamloops, BC to raise their young family.  John found employment there in the car industry, working in high-level positions with several dealerships.  John enjoyed his work immensely.  He was a highly skilled problem solver and was able to form many lifelong friendships with both his coworkers and his customers.

After retiring in 2015, John could often be found relaxing with a book or spending his free time with his lovely wife and spoiling his 3 grandchildren as much as possible.

John was a devoted father and an avid golfer.  He enjoyed reading and countless games of cards with his friends. He was a generous spirit who had a heart for others around him who were in need.

Often, John with his wife, opened his home and his heart to both extended family, and his children’s friends whenever they needed a place to call home.  John was also a spiritual man who recently reconnected with his faith and had found peace and comfort in his renewed relationship with Jesus Christ.

John is predeceased by his parents Roland and Kathleen Parsons, and his wife Lucy.  He is survived by his brothers; Harry, Wayne (Patsy), David (Ellen) and sisters, Kathleen (Angus) and Wanda (Terry); his four children, Michelle, Jennifer, Nadia, and Jodi; and his three grandchildren; Jacob, Amanda, and Ben.

John will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
