Bob was born in Montreal, Canada on June 7, 1944.  His parents moved the family to Vancouver in the 1960’s.  He always had a love of cars and was a member of the Venturies Car Club.  He ran Johnston Motors Tire Shop and worked at various Chrysler Dealerships.  He was a fan of hockey and golf and spent many happy times at the cabin on Alder Street in Cultus Lake.  Bob’s health started to decline after unsuccessful double knee replacement surgery five years ago.  A couple years later Parkinson’s touched him as did spinal stenosis – COVID-19 took him at the end on November 11, 2020 at Vancouver General Hospital.

Bob will be missed. He was always an up-beat and cheerful man, never at a loss for words.  He was predeceased by his brothers Ken and Gary.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years Patty, daughter Shannyn, sister Sharron (Brent), sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and their partners, great nieces and nephews.  His friends he loved to chat with on the phone.
