Johanna Carolina Beunk-Petri, born April 23, 1922, died on October 23, 2018, in Normanna Care Home in Burnaby, BC.  Born in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands, the fourth child in a family of six children, she immigrated to Oakville, Ontario in 1962 to marry her soon-to-be husband of almost 40 years, Jacobus Beunk. "Cobus" as he was known to many died in 2003. Johanna had one son, Andrew, a "very-dear" daughter-in-law, Kim, and three grandchildren, Colleen, Andrea and Jacob. Johanna was the last surviving sibling in her family. "Oma" lived with Andrew's family for 6 years before having to move into a long-term care home 7 years ago. She will be deeply missed by them. She will also be missed by a number of "newer" friends from the New Westminster Christian Reformed Church who faithfully visited her over the last 9 years that she lived in Burnaby.

Her funeral service will be held at New Westminster Christian Reformed Church, 8255 13th. Ave., Burnaby, on Wednesday October 31. A time for viewing will begin at 10:30 AM at the church. The Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM.

A second funeral service will be held on Saturday November 10 at Brampton Funeral Home and Cemetery, 10061 Chinguacousy Rd., Brampton. Viewing at the Chapel begins at 9:00 AM, followed by the Funeral service at 10:00, and the Interment at 11:00.  A light reception will follow.
