Jerome "Jerry" Reade

READE, Jerome Bruce Herbert (Jerry), passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Weatherby II Long Term Care, White Rock, BC, at the age of 86. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Margaret (Goddard) Reade of Moncton, New Brunswick, sister Joan Greenwood and brothers John (Lynn) Reade and George (Sylvia) Reade. He is survived by his wife Katherine “Kathy” (Campbell); his daughter Dianne of Aldergrove, BC; his sons Tim (Rachel) of Vancouver, BC and Randy (Maxine) of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren: Janelle, Justin, Jason (Kelsey), Lachlan, Kaelan (Doyle) and Scarlett; great-granddaughter Isla; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

Jerry was veteran of the Canadian Army and Canadian Armed Forces, having served over 35 years beginning in July 1954. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, country music, reminiscing about his adventures in the military, traveling and relaxing at the cottage near Caissie Cape, NB. He was very fond of lobster and fried clams but most of all enjoyed Kathy’s home cooking and wonderful deserts.

As per the family wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Internment will take place at Gardens of Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery in Surrey, BC.
