With ultimate sadness we announce the passing of a son, a husband, a brother and a dear friend to all: Jeffrey Warren Batt (Chef Jeff).
Jeff grew up in Burnaby and traveled throughout Europe after graduating Culinary School. Upon his return he quickly made his mark on the Vancouver food scene; eventually opening his own restaurant, The Portly Chef, in North Vancouver.
Jeff loved spending time with his family and friends; he was always the life of the party. He left us on May 27th, 2019 but will be in our hearts forever.
