Jean Ann White née McArthur passed away on February 15, 2024, at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, at the age of 86. She will be sadly missed by her children Jennifer, Robert (Annette), Michael (Erika) and Elizabeth (David); grandchildren Chloe, Robert, Catherine, Melissa (Michael), Mike (Tina), Victoria; and great-grandchildren Niall, Clara, Kerrigan, Sean and Kaileigh; and her friends Gerrie and Sherri.
Born and raised in Toronto where she went to school, took Scottish dancing and piano lessons; then eventually worked for the school system before moving to New Westminster. She has lived in New Westminster for over 50 years, where she graduated from SFU. After teaching ESL for many years, she worked at Riverview hospital as a Vocational Counselor arranging work placements for patients in the community. After retiring, she hosted international students in her home and pursued her love of gardening, quilting, knitting teddy bears, making dolls, and doll clothes with her amazing sewing skills and attention to detail.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 1:30 PM at the Kearney Columbia-Bowell Chapel, 219 6th Street, New Westminster, BC
