On October 4, 2024 James (Jim) Cross died peacefully in Vancouver with family by his side. He is survived by his three sons who he deeply loved, David, James and Michael Cross. He is also mourned by Marg Schwartz (Dave) and Glenys Wood, who miss their big brother, as well as his nieces and nephews.

Jim supported his family through his work in the lumber industry in a variety of capacities and locations throughout British Columbia, which afforded him the opportunity to see the world. He had a passion for fly fishing, especially for steelhead in the Skeena River system. He also found joy in taking his annual road trip to Alberta in his sports car, or via motorcycle in his younger days. Jim’s extensive knowledge and love of learning always led to lively discussions and interesting conversation.

He will be missed by his many friends, some of whom he has known since childhood.

As per Jim's request, there will be no formal service. Condolences can be left below.
