passed away at St. Michael’s Hospice on April 21, 2010. Predeceased by his Lola in 1999 and lovingly remembered by his children, Carol (Rod), Elaine (Harry), Jim (Joyce), seven grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and sister-in-law Joyce Barr. Jim was born in Vancouver on October 26, 1916 and was raised in New Westminster. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII and was stationed in New Brunswick. He returned to BC and built a house in Burnaby where he lived until recently. Our Dad will be remembered for his great love for us all, his dedicated work ethic, independence and quick witted humour. Dad always felt that the support of the Salvation Army for the troops during the war was a great help, so in lieu of flowers, donations to them would be appreciated. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Michael’s Hospice for their compassionate care. No service at his request.
