It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of James Rodger Adamson who peacefully succumbed after a short illness on October 17, 2020. He was born June 16, 1929 in Vancouver and is predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and William Adamson, as well as his wife Grace. James was a beloved father, brother and son to his family. He is survived by his son James (Lucy), his daughter Janet, grandson Austin, nephew Robert and brother Bill. He is also survived by his companion Kathleen and the Matheson family who loved him dearly.
An original partner in Imperial Paving Limited, he spent 50 years at the heart of the BC roadbuilding industry developing relationships throughout. He was blessed to have quality partners, and employees that he felt were second to none.
James had many interests including travelling, reading and lifelong learning. He was particularly passionate about art and seeing nature through the eyes of the artist. James was a lifelong member and enthusiastic supporter of the Shriners. He was also a member of Point Grey Golf and Country Club.
James will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. He was a man of honor and integrity.
