Jack passed away July 10th after a lengthy battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his wife Ann (Belli-Bivar) children Don (Maggie), Stan, Jo-Ann (Tom), grandchildren Stacey (Jeff), Laura (James), Rebecca (Adam), Trevor, Lindsay, Kelly-Ann, Chris, and Sean, great-grandchildren Leah, Maya, Lynley, A.J., Ciara, sisters Dodie, Jane and cousin Anne, nieces and nephews. As a young man Jack joined the British Columbia Provincial Police and in August 1950 he began serving with the RCMP when the force absorbed the BCPP. His first 20 years were spent stationed in various parts of B.C. In 1969 he was transferred to Ottawa to the CPIC Division until he retired in 1974. In 1980 Jack and Ann moved back to B.C. where he loved to fish, hunt, cook, play bridge, sing and story-tell. He left us all with many happy memories and his wry sense of humour. The family wishes to thank all who visited and cared for him during his last months. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday July 21st, at 2:00pm. For Service details, please call Kearney Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the BC Bereavement Helpline or a charity of your choice.
