Iselda Zanocco

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Iselda Zanocco at the age of 92.

Iselda was born in Caltrano in the province of Vicenza, Italy on July 13, 1932, and immigrated to Canada in 1960 to marry her hometown beau, Cesare Zanocco. They built a life together in New Westminster and enjoyed many happy years before he passed away in 2013. She was also predeceased by siblings Esther, Maria, Valentino, Enzo, and Ines.

Left to mourn are Iselda’s daughters Rosanna (Doug Suto) and Viviana, grandchildren Brendan (Michelle) and Jenna, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews in Italy. 

Iselda loved preparing a meal and sitting down to watch her family enjoy it. The best years of her life were spent looking after (and feeding!) her grandkids, especially during sleepovers. She had many friends and enjoyed Sunday picnics, playing cards and bocce, and events at the Roma Hall. 

The funeral mass will be at 11:00 am on Friday, December 27 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 244 Lawrence Street, New Westminster; a brief viewing period will be held before mass. Internment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Garden Mausoleum to follow at a later date.
