It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved family matriarch, Heather Bonnie Ann Bozzer on December 19, 2020. She was 71 years old.
Heather was born in Chapleau, Ontario on November 13, 1949, the fourth child of Edward and Dorothy McAfee. Heather was a loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and loyal friend. Heather and her husband Ron had been married over 38 loving years at the time of her passing. They shared their mutual love of travel, touring the world together covering all points of the globe, from African Safaris, with adventures through Asia, the Middle East and India to exploring the countryside in Europe, especially in Italy which Heather loved the most. Her friends spanned the globe from India, France, Switzerland, Uruguay and countless other countries.
Heather was an avid golfer and she enjoyed her summer mornings on the golf course at Big Sky or Predator Ridge with Ron and their friends. In the winter months she could be found in Palm Springs perfecting her smooth swing, often offering short game tips to Ron and coaching him on his swing.
Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family and close friends. She is survived by her husband Ron, son Shane (Stephanie) and daughter Lindsay (Michael). She is also survived by her grandsons Jakson, Adrian and Lucas. She was predeceased by her three older brothers Duke, Roger and Garnett.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Neuroendocrine Tumour Society. https://cnets.ca/support-us/donations/
