Thomson: Hazel Mildred (nee Langley) died peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2009, in Vancouver at the age of 94. She was predeceased by both her husband Robert and son Robert. She will be lovingly remembered by daughter Glenda Thomson (Stephen Ward) of Madison, WI; granddaughter Kimberley Thomson-Kerr (Jay Faris), Maui, HI; grandson Andrew Thomson, Halifax, NS; great grandchildren William and Libby Faris; brother David, Port Hawkesbury, NS; and many nieces and nephews.
Hazel was the eldest of a large and loving family. She and Bob, together with Robert and Glenda, travelled Canada and Europe as an RCAF family. They settled in Halifax in 1960 and Hazel lived there until moving to Vancouver to live with Glenda and Stephen in 2000.
A service to honour Hazel’s life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 10:30 am, at Canadian Memorial United Church, 1825 16th Avenue West, Vancouver. Sheelah McGill officiating.
