Fred passed away peacefully at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife Anne and his daughter Brenda. He leaves behind his two daughters Lorna (Jack) and Pauline (Mark), along with grandchildren Mike (Madi), Lisa (Shane), Curtis (Markayla), Julia (Mattias) and great-grandchildren Berkley, Gage, Tate, Warren, Elias and twins on the way (soon)!

Fred was born in 1934 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. His family moved to Vancouver when he was 14 and Fred lived the rest of his life on the west coast. Fred was certified as a refrigeration mechanic and worked all over BC and the Yukon, often by small plane, installing and servicing commercial refrigeration units. He was very skilled and highly regarded in his career.

Fred married Anne in 1956 and they had 3 girls, Brenda, Pauline and Lorna. His family spent much of their holiday time exploring the coast of BC in their boat. Dad loved the ocean and was especially skilled at catching prawns. Fred and Anne were able to enjoy many trips to see the world including Alaska, the Galapagos Islands, Peru, Turkey, and Russia. They also spent time camping with their truck and 5th-wheel trailer. They loved adventure.

Dad was always very proud of his family and will be remembered for his kind, caring, helpful and appreciative nature and always positive outlook. We love you Dad xoxo!
