It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Franklyn George Lacey on July 2, 2022. Born in Vancouver, Frank lived his entire life in the Lower Mainland. In 1975, he married his beloved life partner, Shirley (nee Wiebe), and the two would go on to raise their four children in Frank's hometown of Burnaby. An accomplished pianist, Frank was a member of the Rock of Ages quartet and devoted his life to music, teaching piano lessons, and playing for various events. Frank is predeceased by his parents, Winnifred and George Lacey, and sister, Donna Kiselbach (nee Lacey). Frank is survived by his loving wife, Shirley, who cared selflessly for him during his decades-long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. He leaves behind daughters Sharon, Pamela (Jeff), and Janet (Erik), son Christopher (Kyla), and five grandchildren. Frank lived a full life, and his memory will live on through his loving family.
A Memorial service is planned for Frank on July 15th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Society of BC parkinson.bc.ca
