It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Frank Antolcic on December 21, 2024, in his 81st year. Frank passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side and has ascended to his rightful place with the angels.
Frank was a man of few words but showed deep affection to his family, cherishing his role as a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his four children Nancy (Robert), Sheri (Mario), Frank Jr. and Susie (Erkan). He was pre-deceased by his wife of 52 years Ann Marie, his parents Mara and Rok Antolcic and his brother Drago Antolcic.
Frank's grandchildren Matthew, Nicholas, Michael, Chiara, Gabriella, Leila, Zac and Joey were his pride and joy and the light of his life. His spirit will live on in their hearts forever.
Frank was the dear brother of Steve (Adela) of Kitchener, Ontario. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews along with many family members and friends in BC, Ontario and Croatia.
Frank had a passion for simple pleasures... whether it was a quiet moment with loved ones watching his favourite wrestlers battle it out or a thrilling trip to the casino, where he spent many afternoons testing his luck. Frank's strength, kindness and sense of humour made him someone you could count on without question. His quiet presence had a way of making everyone feel just a little bit more secure. Frank was always there when you needed him, offering a steady hand and a listening ear. As we say goodbye, may his memory remind us to approach life with quiet strength, deep love and a little bit of luck, just as he did.
On Saturday, January 4, 2025, we will gather at 11:00am at Holy Cross Church in Burnaby for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Immediately following the entombment, everyone is invited to attend Frank's Celebration of Life from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Hart House Restaurant, 6664 Deer Lake Avenue in Burnaby. Should you wish to honour Frank's memory, please consider a donation to the Canucks Autism Network www.canucksautism.ca to support children like his sweet grandson Joey.
